BIBLE BASED PRAYERS

1. Pray for the rulers of our nations: “I exhort first of all that supplications (Takinnah), prayers (Tafillah=self-examination), intercessions (bakkashot) and thanksgiving (Hodaya) be made for all men, for kings and those in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4.

2. Ask for nations as your inheritance: Ask of Me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession. Psalm 2:8.

3. Pray for your city: Seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace. Jeremiah 29:7.

4. Pray against false gods: Thus you shall say to them: “The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth shall perish from the earth and from under heavens.” Jeremiah 10:11.

5. Pray for laborers to reap the harvest of souls: The Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. Luke 10:1,2.

6. Pray for windows of opportunity to open to proclaim the gospel: Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful, as you pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may declare it clearly, as I should.…Colossians 2:2-4

7. Pray for your enemies: But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. Matthew 5:44.

8. Go prayer walking and saturate your workplace and your city with prayer: I desire that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, I have given that to you. 1 Timothy 2:8; Joshua 1:3

9. Ask for empowerment of the Holy Spirit to heal the sick and deliver the demonized: If a son asks for bread from a father, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” Luke 11:11-13.

10. Pray that Christians may love and fulfil fifty other one-anothers: A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another… By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35; James 5:16

12. Pray that Christians will boldly share their faith with others: Lord, behold their threats, and grant to your servants that with all boldness they may speak your Word. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. Acts 4:29; 2 Timothy 2:2.

13. Pray that Christians may encourage each other for good works: And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24,25.

14. Pray for the sons of Ishmael (Muslims): The multitude of dromedaries (racing camels) shall cover your land, the camels of Midian and Ephah; All those from Sheba shall come; They shall bring gold and incense, and they shall proclaim the praises of the LORD. Isaiah 60:5,6.

18. Pray that believers learn the process of winning souls: To open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among the sanctified by faith in Me.’ Acts 26:18.

19. Pray for opening of spiritual eyes of those who sit in darkness … Whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. 2 Corinthians 4:4; Matthew 4:16

20. Pray that Christians will be equipped with mighty spiritual weapons to demolish the gates of hell: For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5.

21. Pray that Christians will plunder the kingdom of Satan and turn it into kingdom of God: Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. Matthew 12:28,29.

22. Pray for generosity: that Christians may know that the more they invest in the harvest field, the more they will reap. “And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things!" 2 Corinthians 9:6,7; Romans 10:15
