Focus points for Rapid Multiplication

Focus points for Rapid Multiplication

1. Focus on fulfilling the Great Commission as the core of the core.

2. Focus on making disciples and not church planting; that will happen automatically. Jesus commanded you go and make disciples and then He will build His church (Matt. 16:18). Change that sequence to your peril, as many "house churches" rapidly degrade into  "church in the house," complete with a special person, special day, special place, special sermon and a special collection box.

3. Even better, focus on Multiplication first and then discipling, that will then take place naturally. Biologically all living things multiply first and then nurture their young ones to reproductive maturity. Jesus talked to two of John’s disciples (Jesus planted the first house church that lasted only a few hours) and they immediately went out on a discipling spree (John 1:35-46). Jesus sent the twelve disciples with authority and they brought additional 72 disciples (Luke 9,1; 10:1). Jesus told the demonic Gadarene to go to Decapolis (Ten cities, from Damascus in the north to, Canatha, Dion, Hippus, Raphana, Gadara, Scythopolis, Pella, Garasia and Philadelphia in the south, inhabited by pig keeping fierce Gerasene Gentiles) and simply tell them what great things God had done for him (Mark 5:19, 20). Like the Samaritan woman, Multiplication should start from day one.

4. Focus on igniting a DMM (Disciple Multiplying Movement), rather than churching the unchurched or making converts. This requires equipping and empowering ever believer to be a prolific fisher of men.

5. Constantly be in touch with disciple makers and frequently update "Generational Mapping" (2 Tim. 2:2) so as to know which disciple has stopped multiplying and work on him/her. If they do not improve, abandon them as old ducks do not lay eggs. Avoid leadership training seminars, lest they get inflated ideas. First let them learn how to make disciples on the field. Otherwise it would be like going to college without first finishing the primary school.

6. Primary focus of a leader is to see everyone productively and effectively engaged in the world. Like gold, however precious, get rid of non-performing assets. Because the judgment will start mercilessly at the sanctuary (Eze. 9:3-6; 1Peter 4:17), start filtering at the top as they simply do not have the reproductive DNA.

7. Choose coaches who impart discipling skills in the field rather than teachers who transfer information in the classroom. Avoid motivational and event speakers, as they get you all charged up but neither give you the roadmap for kingdom advance nor discipling skills and definitely not on how to bring forth supernatural increase in lasting fruit (John 15:16). Focus on a few to reach many. Train trainers (T4T) rather than just church planters. Focus on those with passion and burden for the lost rather than knowledge based intellectuals.

8. Your metrics of success are not nickels, noses, academics, quality of music and worship or buildings but focus on the number of disciplers, baptizers (without having to wait to earn it by long periods of discipleship), equippers and senders.  Remember our God is not just a high and mighty God but He and His Son are senders, “As the Father has sent me so I send you” (John 20:21). Being in the mission field does not make you a missionary anymore than going to the mechanic shop makes you a mechanic.

9. Remember it is easy to talk the talk but a challenge to walk the talk.

10. Finally focus on not being just hearers of the word, but be ye doers of the Word.

Prayer Walking

PRAYER WALKING : TEN STEPS

1. SUBMIT TO GOD : Put on the whole armour of God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4:7; Eph. 6:10-18; 1 John 3:8)

2. PRAISE : Lift up your holy hands and bless His Holy Name every where. Thank God for giving you the people you intercede for as your inheritance and the land that you tread under your feet as your possession. Command the heavenly hosts, the trees, the birds, the beasts, and everyone to clap their hands and sing praises to God. (1Tim. 2:8; Deut.10:17; Ps. 2:8; 66:1-5; 141:2; Josh.1:3; Rom. 16:20; Isa 55:12)

3. PREACH : The whole creation is travailing for the revelation of the children of God. Preach the good news to stray animals, dirty gutters, potholed roads and fruitless trees that Yeshua shed His blood to reconcile the whole creation. (Mark 16:15; Col. 1:20; Rom 8:19)

4. SPEAK TO THE CITY by name, just like Yeshua prayed for Jerusalem, Chorazin and Bethsaida. Bless those who serve us by providing food, water, healthcare, security, transportation, communication, sanitation, electricity, education, and other essentials for living. (Luke13:34-35; Matt. 11:21; Prov. 11:11; Jer. 29:7)

5. BE A BLESSING : Pray for the redemption of neighbors. We have been blessed to be a blessing to all the families of the earth. Bring the kingdom of God and reign on earth by feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, adopting the orphans, wiping the tears of the hurting, visiting the prisoners for gospel’s sake and showing the path to the lost. (Gen. 12:3;Luke 10:5;Mat. 25:31-46;Gal. 2:10)

6. REPENT for all the atrocities, injustices, murders and other iniquities, both present and past. The blood of Yeshua has made you priests and kings of the city and the nation. Identify with the sins of the people which have defiled the land. Pray until the city repents, curses are broken and the city is healed. (Lam. 4:12-13; Lev. 18:24-28; Eze. 9:4-6; Neh. 1:5-7; Rev. 5:9-10; 2 Chron. 7:14)

7. PROCLAIM the manifold wisdom of God to principalities, powers and the rulers of darkness; “Thus you shall say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, these shall perish from the earth, and from under the heavens.” (Col. 2:15; Jer. 10:11)

8. TAKE POSSESSION of the city by setting the captives free from all mental, social, cultural and religious centers of iniquity with mighty spiritual weapons. Adorn your city as a Bride, to welcome the KING of kings. (Matt 12:29; 16:19; 18:18-20; 2 Cor.10:3-5; 1Cor.15:24; Rev. 21:1)

9. SEEK THE ‘MAN OF PEACE’ : Heal the sick, cast out demons. Freely you have received freely give. “Let your prayers be like the incense and the lifting of your holy hands be like the evening sacrifice.” Offer Gentiles as living sacrifice and plant a church in their houses. Disciple, baptize, equip and send them as fishers of men. (Matt.10:8; Luke 10:5-9; Psalm 141:2; Isa. 66:20)

10.REIGN ON EARTH : Pray for the kings, rulers and those in auhority because God likes it and usher the Kingdom, that all may lead a quiet, peaceful, honest and godly life. This is good and acceptable to God. Prayer walking must result in numerical growth and geographical expansion of the kingdom. (1Tim. 2:1-4; Rev. 8:3,4)
