THE ISRAEL-IRAN CONFLICT - A BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE (Part 1)

 Israel attacking Iran with Operation Rising Lion on June 13, 2025, striking Iranian nuclear and missile facilities, and Iran launching hundreds of ballistic missiles towards Israel, is seen by some as a fulfilment of end-time prophecies.

Key Biblical References:

- Ezekiel 38-39: Describes a future invasion of Israel by "Gog of the land of Magog" and a coalition including Persia, which some interpret as referencing modern-day Iran. God intervenes, defeating these nations to display His glory and restore Israel.

- Psalm 83: Describes a coalition of nations, including those in the Middle East, conspiring against Israel, but ultimately, God will intervene and defeat them.

- Zechariah 14:1-21: Foretells a future battle where God will gather all nations against Jerusalem, but ultimately, the Lord will stand and fight against those nations.

- Amos 9:15: Emphasizes God's commitment to Israel, promising to plant them in their own land, never to be uprooted again.

Interpretation:

The Lord Jesus had already prophesied the end-time events of wars and rumours of wars, famines, earthquakes, and false prophets, but added that these will be just the beginning of sorrows. The key verse is, “And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations and then the end will come.” (Matt. 24:14). With billions yet to be reached, we are far from that objective. Another fact is that this is a direct conflict between two nations, not a coalition of Gog of Magog, Persia, Cush, and Put. In modern terms, Persia is identified with Iran, Cush with Sudan, and Put with Libya. The identity of Gog and Magog is often associated with Russia, Turkey, etc. They will bring a massive army of 200 million soldiers to Armageddon (Revelation 9:16). Then Israel will face annihilation of an unprecedented scale and in desperation cry out to the one they rejected as heir Messiah (God/King) and nailed Him to the cross, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord” (Psalm 118:26; Luke 13:35). God will then intervene, and Israel will be burying the dead for seven years to purify the land. Then Jesus will establish His millennial Kingdom on earth for a thousand years. There will be another major battle after that when Satan is released from the pit, and then the final judgment and the establishment of the eternal Kingdom of God on earth, and then the Garden of Eden will be restored.

Lessons:

1.      God is in control, and He will accomplish his plans and purposes.

2.      Warning to those who reject Jesus as Saviour and those comfortable Christians who are not willing to carry their cross and fulfil His will that none should be lost.

इज़राइल ने 13 जून, 2025 को ऑपरेशन राइजिंग लायन के साथ  ईरानी परमाणु और मिसाइल सुविधाओं पर हमला किया, और ईरान ने इज़राइल की ओर सैकड़ों बैलिस्टिक मिसाइलों को लॉन्च किया, कुछ लोगों द्वारा अंत-समय की भविष्यवाणियों की पूर्ति के रूप में देखा जाता है।

बाइबिल के मुख्य संदर्भ:

- यहेजकेल 38-39: "मागोग की भूमि के गोग" और फारस सहित एक गठबंधन द्वारा इज़राइल के भविष्य के आक्रमण का वर्णन करता है, जिसे कुछ आधुनिक ईरान के संदर्भ के रूप में व्याख्या करते हैं। परमेश्वर हस्तक्षेप करता है, अपनी महिमा प्रदर्शित करने और इस्राएल को पुनर्स्थापित करने के लिए इन राष्ट्रों को हराता है।

व्‍याख्‍या:

प्रभु यीशु ने पहले ही युद्धों की अंत समय की घटनाओं और युद्धों, अकालों, भूकंपों और झूठे भविष्यद्वक्ताओं की अफवाहों की भविष्यवाणी कर दी थी, लेकिन साथ ही यह भी कहा था कि ये सिर्फ दुखों की शुरुआत होगी। मुख्य पद है, "और राज्य का यह सुसमाचार सारे जगत में प्रचार किया जाएगा, कि सब जातियों पर गवाही हो, और तब अन्त आ जाएगा। (मत्ती 24:14)। सुसमाचार का अरबों तक पहुंचना अभी बाकी है, इसलिए हम उस उद्देश्य से बहुत दूर हैं। एक और तथ्य यह है कि यह दो राष्ट्रों के बीच सीधा संघर्ष है, न कि गोग ऑफ मागोग, फारस, कुश और पुट का गठबंधन। आधुनिक शब्दों में, फारस की पहचान ईरान के साथ, कुश की सूडान से और पुट की पहचान लीबिया से की जाती है। गोग और मागोग की पहचान अक्सर रूस, तुर्की आदि से जुड़ी होती है। वे 20 करोड़ सैनिकों की एक विशाल सेना को हर-मगिदोन में लाएंगे (प्रकाशितवाक्य 9:16)। तब इस्राएल एक अभूतपूर्व विनाश का सामना करेगा और जिसे उन्होंने मसीह (परमेश्वर/राजा) के रूप में अस्वीकार कर दिया था और उसे क्रूस पर कीलों से जड़ दिया था, हताशा में उस व्यक्ति को पुकारेगा, "धन्य है वह, जो यहोवा के नाम से आता है" (भजन संहिता 118:26; प्रेरितों के काम 118:26)। लूका 13:35)। तब परमेश्वर हस्तक्षेप करेगा, और इस्राएल भूमि को शुद्ध करने के लिए मृतकों को सात वर्षों तक दफनाएगा। तब यीशु धरती पर एक हज़ार साल तक अपना हज़ार साल का राज कायम करेगा। उसके बाद एक और बड़ी लड़ाई होगी जब शैतान को गड्ढे से मुक्त किया जाएगा, और फिर अंतिम न्याय और पृथ्वी पर परमेश्वर के अनन्त राज्य की स्थापना, और फिर अदन की वाटिका को बहाल किया जाएगा।

सबक:

1.                  सब कुछ परमेश्वर के नियंत्रण में है, और वह अपनी योजनाओं और उद्देश्यों को पूरा करेगा।

2.                  उन लोगों को चेतावनी जो यीशु को उद्धारकर्ता के रूप में अस्वीकार करते हैं और उन आरामदायक मसीहियों को जो अपने क्रूस को उठाने और उसकी इच्छा, “कि कोई भी नाश नहीं हो” को पूरा करने के लिए तैयार नहीं हैं ।
