Re: Sermonizers

Dear B, My first journey back in mid-sixties to Ireland was a memorable one. I went by train from London to Hollyhead which reached there about 2 AM. To my utter dismay all the Irish men started running to the waiting ferry. Being an Indian and running to get a seat in the train was quite normal thing for me. So I thought may be there are not enough seats so I also ran only to find  that most of the seats empty and I could comfortably stretch out. The Irish men had been to running desperately to get a seat by the bear bar.   I am glad you are studying the emergent church. By the way it is the original model.  The wide Bema or what you call pulpit in the Synagogue was used for spreading out the scrolls. THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS IN 2025

-
The Festival of Trumpets in 2025 will begin on the evening of Monday, September 22, and end on Wednesday, September 24. It is also known as Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, marking the first day of the seventh month, Tishri. The key feature of this celebration is the blowing of the ram’s horn, the shofar, which signifies remembrance, repentance, and the coming of God’s kingdom. Biblical Foundation In Leviticus 23:1–2, 23–25, the Lord commanded Israel to observe this holy day with rest and the sounding of trumpets. At Mount Sinai (Exodus 19:18), God descended in fire with thunder, lightning, and the sound of trumpets, signifying His majestic presence. This feast points forward to the return of Jesus Christ, who will come with the sound of the trumpet, gathering the faithful who trust in Him (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 1 Corinthians 15:52). Prophetic Meaning The High Priest would enter the Most Holy Place only on this day, sprinkling bloo...

APOLOGETICS Please do not send a new convert from Islam to Christianity to witness to his own community. He will be taken to Muslim Imams, who will question him and declare him to be a Mushriq (infidel) and likely to be killed. Make sure any new Muslim convert attends a Jamat (Discovery Bible study) at least once a week for some months; otherwise, he will soon revert. The first thing to teach is how to defend oneself. Here are some questions he may have to face and the answers to them -- First Question: “Have you become a Christian. Answer: “No, I have become a follower of Hazrat Isa. Question: What is the difference between them? Answer: The difference is that a Christian only believes, while a Follower of Christ obeys His Commandments. I am a Muslim and I will remain a Muslim.” Second question: “How did you become a follower of Hazrat Isa?”  Answer: “By reading the Quran.” The Quran says that he was born supernaturally without male intervention, unlike any oth...
