  Dear B, My first journey back in mid-sixties to Ireland was a memorable one. I went by train from London to Hollyhead which reached there about 2 AM. To my utter dismay all the Irish men started running to the waiting ferry. Being an Indian and running to get a seat in the train was quite normal thing for me. So I thought may be there are not enough seats so I also ran only to find  that most of the seats empty and I could comfortably stretch out. The Irish men had been to running desperately to get a seat by the bear bar.   I am glad you are studying the emergent church. By the way it is the original model.  The wide Bema or what you call pulpit in the Synagogue was used for spreading out the scrolls. THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS IN 2025

The Festival of Trumpets in 2025 will begin on the evening of Monday, September 22, and end on Wednesday, September 24. It is also known as Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, marking the first day of the seventh month, Tishri. The key feature of this celebration is the blowing of the ram’s horn, the shofar, which signifies remembrance, repentance, and the coming of God’s kingdom. Biblical Foundation In Leviticus 23:1–2, 23–25, the Lord commanded Israel to observe this holy day with rest and the sounding of trumpets. At Mount Sinai (Exodus 19:18), God descended in fire with thunder, lightning, and the sound of trumpets, signifying His majestic presence. This feast points forward to the return of Jesus Christ, who will come with the sound of the trumpet, gathering the faithful who trust in Him (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 1 Corinthians 15:52). A fragile peace agreement has been reached between Israel and Iran, brokered by President Trump. Many feel that since Iran started the war, Israel should have been allowed to finish it. How long this peace will last is anybody’s guess. The Scripture says, “ For when they shall say, Peace and safety! Then sudden destruction comes on them, as travail upon a woman with child. And they shall not escape.” (1Thess. 5:3). God blessed Abraham, “ And I will bless those that bless you and curse those who curse you. And in you shall all families of the earth be blessed (Genesis 12:3 ) . So there is no doubt about the eventual outcome, as Islam has been cursing Israel, threatening to wipe them off the map.
